On Wednesday, officers had to apprehend a man who tried to break into a Drake residential property by calling police around 2 p.m. local time. This information was confirmed by Toronto police spokeswoman Ashley Visser, noting that the incident was taking place.
Drake’s rep has yet to comment on the matter.
The man seen attempting to break into the home was detained under Ontario’s mental health legislation and referred for medical evaluation. This law allows law enforcement agencies to detain individuals they believe are in need of medical attention due to possible mental health problems.
